Criteria for Preparation of Merit list Merit preparation / short listing of candidates shall be on the basis of score in MRNAT 2024/ Marks in Qualifying Examination
Minimum Eligibility Criteria Pass in 10+2 Examination / Equivalent Examination with at least 50% marks in aggregate in 5 subjects including English, Physics, Chemistry & Biology and One subject with the highest score out of the remaining subjects.

Program Education Objectives (PEO’s)

The aim of the course is to provide comprehensive, individually focused training that prepares the students for providing a quality physiotherapy care to the patients so that at the end of the course he/she will be able to perform the following:

PEO 1: To make our students competent in the field of physiotherapy and its allied areas.

PEO 2: To inculcate the capability to work as entrepreneurs and techno-managers with strong ethics and communication skills.

PEO 3: To equip the students to pursue higher education and research in reputed institutes at national and international level.

PEO 4: To develop a working knowledge of physiotherapy techniques.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES (POs) / PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

Program Outcomes / Program Specific Outcomes describe graduate attributes i.e. what students are expected to know or will be able to do when they graduate from a program. 

POs / PSOs

PO1: Community Health –To identify the role of Physiotherapy in the context of the community health needs in particular and the national health sector in general.

PO2: Moral, Ethical and legal issues- Be able to perform a safe, systematic and appropriate physiotherapy assessment for various conditions while adhering to legal, ethical and professional standards of practice in a multitude of physiotherapy settings for patients and clients. 

PO3:Critical thinking – Be able to analyze and interpret physical assessment and diagnosis and set appropriate short and long term goals and to choose, demonstrate intervention safely and document the progression appropriately.

PO4: Analytical skills – To utilize analytical skills, critical inquiry and evidence based practice to make clinical decisions essential for autonomous professional practice. 

PO5: Collaboration – To work as independent physiotherapists or in conjunction/ collaboration with a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to diagnose and treat disorders as per red and yellow flags. 

PO6: Team work – To communicate effectively across wide range of professional and personal contexts compatible with psychological, Social, Economic and Cultural aspects of diseases and the beneficiary.

PO7: Research related skills: To carry out research and publications towards upliftment of the field of Physiotherapy and actively engage in lifelong learning activities.

 

Program Specific Objectives:

PSO1: Disciplinary Knowledge – To develop sound understanding and knowledge of anatomical structures, physiological function and biochemical processes and deviations/ dysfunctions.

PSO2: Problem Solving– To understand the rationale behind basic investigative approach, making students competent in assessing & evaluating various anatomical, patho-physiological and psychosomatic systems reaching accurate diagnosis including medical & surgical ailments in different age groups, occupations.

PSO3: Rehabilitation and outcome measure – To learn & implement rehabilitative strategies for cure & care; adopt restorative measures for maximum possible independence of a client at home, work place & in the community effectively.

PSO4: Health delivery –To maintain healthy relationship & co-partnership with various professionals in the health delivery system in the primary interest of a client within the scope of ethical practice.
