OVERVIEW

The Department of Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthodpedics deals with correction of irregularities of teeth and disproportionate growth of jaws in young growing individuals and caters to esthetic corrections of teeth and jaws for adults. The Department provides all latest modalities of treatment with invisible ceramic, lingual & self ligating braces along with clear aligners and also extensively uses micro implants for complex orthodontic corrections.The Department has started to offer Cleft lip & Palate care to the needy.

In modern Orthodontics, treatment is carried out by braces to align teeth properly or by means of the functional appliances which help in achieving the jaw harmonious relationship during growth period and severe skeletal problems are treated by Dentofacial Orthopaedics . Severe jaws deformities in adults are also corrected by surgical repositioning of jaw bones along with Orthodontic appliances.

In our Department the faculty and postgraduates have been treating cases of varied types of malocclusion with all types of latest techniques and appliances after diligent case discussions and treatment planning.
