About ECE Department

The Department was set up in 1997 and its B.Tech-ECE programme was accredited by NBA in 2004, 2007 and 2018. The research interests of the faculty members of the department encompass the wide area of applied and fundamental aspects of Electronics and Communication Engineering including but not limited to Communication Systems, Microelectronics & VLSI, IOT, Digital Signal Processing, Wireless and Mobile communication, Antenna Design and RF & Microwave Engineering. Twenty Ph.D scholars are currently engaged in cutting edge research in the Department and eight have been awarded Ph.D degree.  Faculty members and students are actively involved in research and have published their work in journals of National/International repute.

The Department strives to impart latest knowledge and skills so as to kindle innovation & creativity among students, to establish a culture of research while promoting values, ethics and professionalism, leading to a progressive career in industry & academia globally. The Department has state of the art education aids, visual laboratories and competent faculty ensuring effective teaching learning process to meet the ever growing and changing industrial and business environment. B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering

Under this programme, the students can get B.Tech Electronics & Communication Engg  (Hons.) with specialization in Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things by earning additional 18-20 credits in the given particular domain as per provision prescribed by the AICTE. At MRIIRS, the courses under the said domain of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things shall be offered in association with Intel Corporation.

B.Tech – Electronics & Communication Engineering (through Lateral Entry)

 Under this programme, the students can get the B.Tech (Lateral Entry) in Electronics and Communication Engineering with Specialization in Internet of Things by earning additional 18-20 credits in the given particular domain as per provision prescribed in the APH of AICTE 2020-21.

M.Tech. Electronics and Communication Engineering

This programme is offered with specializations in Communication Systems / VLSI Design and Embedded Systems  based on the courses opted by the students out of the basket of offered elective courses.
