Q1. Where and how can I download the Hotel Management admission application form?

Q2. How and where is the Admission/Application Form to be submitted?

• A student has to submit the application form online using the Scratch Card provided with the Admission Brochure.
• Alternatively, the applicant can apply online using credit/debit card by completing the form.
• She/he should then secure with herself/himself two hard copies of the submitted application form. One copy should be kept for self reference and other is to be submitted to Manav Rachna at the time of Physical Counseling.

Q4. Do you have Scholarships for students on the basis of Marks/CGPA?

Scheme ‘Utkarsh’ is for candidates taking Admission within a period from 31st May  2021 to 15th  July 2021

Scheme ‘Uttam’ is for candidates taking Admission within a period from 16th July  2021 to 16th  August 2021

Q5. What are the minimum marks required in qualifying exam (graduation) to be eligible?

Eligibility is 50% marks in qualifying exam (Graduation).

Q6. Do you consider NCHMCT AIEEE score in qualifying exam to be eligible?

Yes, rank holders of NCHMCT entrance examination with 45% in graduation are eligible for admission in Hotel Management at Faculty of Hotel Management.

Q7. What is the fee structure?

The total fee for one year INR 141000 which can be paid in two installments of INR 84000 and INR 57000.

Q8. Is the counseling fee / tuition fee refundable in case of withdrawal of admission?

Yes, Refund is possible if the application for withdrawal is submitted before or on the day of commencement of classes, as per procedure laid down in the Admission Brochure.

Q9. Does MRIIRS assist in obtaining Educational loans through banks?

MRIIRS has a tie-up with Punjab National Bank which provides education loan to our students. But, the candidate and/or his parent must satisfy the Bank requirements to avail educational loan. A cell has been created under Dean Students Welfare, MRIIRS to assist the students in getting the loan.

Q10. What other Facilities are offered by the university?

The university offers many facilities to its students, some of which are – multimedia- enabled, air- conditioned classrooms, state-of-the-art Library, fully wi-fi networked campus, large fleet of buses for transportation within NCR, world- class sports facilities (cricket ground, table tennis, lawn tennis court, badminton court, basketball court, football ground, volleyball ground, billiards table, squash facilities, athletic tracks, shooting range), a well-equipped gymnasium, open air theatre, medical facilities, cafeteria and food courts, ATM, campus shop, book shop.

Q11. What is the internship and final placement support at FHM?

FHM provides assistance for internship and final placements for all students who register for the campus placement process. The Internship Cell at department level and Career Development Centre of MRIIRS assists recruiters in taking appropriate hiring decisions while supporting students in making strategic career choices.

Q12. Which companies’ students have opportunity for placements?

Hospitality graduates are the first choice of any customer/service oriented industry. Major hotel chains where our students placed are – Oberoi group of hotels and resorts, Taj Group, ITC, Hyatt, IHG.

Q13. Do you have any knowledge partners?

MRIIRS, Faculty of Hotel Management has an MOU with Crowne Plaza Today, Okhla, New Delhi. Inputs from industry experts from designing of curriculum to delivery is taken to keep abreast of the new trends and technologies in the hotel industry and making students better equipped to get placed in the industry.

Q14. Where is MRIIRS campus located?

MRIIRS is located on Delhi –Suraj-Kund road, Sector- 43, Faridabad. It is easily accessible from either Badkal Chowk (Manav Rachna- Badkal Mor Metro Station) or NHPC Chowk on Mathura Road (NH-2), or via Charmwood Village near Badarpur Border. Q15. Is there any transportation facility available in MRIIRS for day scholars?

MRIIRS has excellent bus transportation facilities for staff, faculty members& students throughout Delhi-NCR.

MRIIRS is well connected with road and metro transportation.

Q16. Are there any opportunities provided to students for online or self paced learning?

Students are encouraged to take up courses through online learning platforms such as the UGC’s SWAYAM for MOOCs. Students may complete these courses and earn credits as a part of the program.

Q17. How does the Hotel Management program promote entrepreneurship and innovation among students?

We not only prepare the students for hotel jobs but make them capable to run their own start-ups. To inculcate the entrepreneurship skills among the students, Faculty of Hotel Management has created a Hospitality Skill Development Centre (HSDC) where they learn the whole process of running a business from purchasing of raw materials to converting them into salable products to accounting essential to manage a catering business.

MRIIRS has a centre for incubation and innovation where promising business ideas are nurtured. The required support is provided for success of such budding ideas and small units which are proposed by students.

Q18. What kind of support is available for discussing career path and individual candidatures?

The B.Sc. HHA program has a robust mentoring system. Each student is guided by respective faculty mentors throughout the program.

Q19. Are there any options for students to take up interdisciplinary courses?

The B.Sc. HHA program has been designed in such a way that apart from core courses which are hotel industry centric, student has the flexibility to choose from various courses offered by the experts of their fields across the University. This provides them an opportunity to earn the credits by learning the courses of their choice.
