IMPLANT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT
With great pride we would like to inform you that we at MRCDE have successfully culminated the national IMPLANT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT symposium under the able guidance of Dr. Ashish Kakar, Director MRCDE and his team. The Session was inaugurated by Dr. Rajiv Chugh, President Elect Indian Dental Association (HO) and the virtual presence of Brig. Dr. Anil Kohli and Dr. Ashok Dhoble through online mode on Zoom Platform, other dignitaries of MRIIRS & MRIU, Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Srivastava Vice chancellor, Prof (Dr.) Arundeep Singh Principal MRDC, Prof. (Dr.) Ashish Kakar Director MRCDE, Prof. (Dr.) Pankaj Dhawan Head of Department MRDC, Prof. (Dr.) Puneet Batra Director PG board of studies.
The Scientific session begins with the introductory lecture of Dr. Ashish Kakar, renowned Implantologist, Laser specialist and Director MRCDE who gave a brief about the current trends in the clinical dentistry and the importance of learning the special treatment modalities in the field of dental education. Dr. Ashish encouraged students and described the importance of fellowship courses along with the core treatments.
Next Scientific procession was by Dr. Dhruv Arora, on topic “IMPLANT OCCLUSION SIMPLIFIED IN THE MULTIVERSE OF IMPLANTOLOGY”, his presentation briefed that about 95% of Implant failures are because of Implant Occlusion. He introduced the scientific podium by the Rule of P- that includes Proper, Pre-treatment, Prevents, Problem. He also emphasized on the importance of protrusive and lateral records, canine guided occlusion Vs Group function occlusion, different articulating paper and their types depending on the indications, as BLUE- CENTRIC and RED- ECCENTRIC.
Next Scientific session was by Dr. Brijesh Patel on topic “MASTER CLASS ON SINUS LIFT”, his presentation was about the basic and advance of sinus and its anatomy, indications and contraindications for maxillary sinus lift surgery. Dr. Brijesh introduced and gave a brief about newer instrument for the crestal & Lateral lift of sinus floor as CAS KIT.
Next presentation was by Dr. Sandeep Singh, topic titled “PREDICTABLE & PRECISE BONE REGENERATION WITH AUTOGENOUS & AUTOLOGUS DENTINAL GRAFTS”. His presentation briefed about the different types of grafting material with special emphasis on dentinal grafting.
Next Scientific Lecture concluded a session by Dr. Nikhil Deshpande, on topic “IMPLANT SUCCESS Vs SURVIVAL- ARE WE CONFUSED”. Presentation briefed about the keys to successful Implantology is to know what is good, know why it is good- evidence based, learn how to do it- treatment guides, evaluate the risk involved in treating these cases, & finally the use of good materials. In the end Dr. Nikhil concluded by saying that in current dentistry success value is equal to 89.7% with a mean follow up period of at-least 15.7 years.
Next Lecture was deliberated by Dr. Ajay Sharma, who’s presentation was on topic titled “3D PLANNING AND GUIDED IMPLANTOLOGY”, he briefed about the importance of planning before starting any case, accurate implants could only be placed with proper treatment planning. He gave brief description regarding the prosthetically driven implant placement, types of surgical guides.
Next Lecture was deliberated by Dr. G.K. Gupta, titled “IMMEDIATE LOADING IN FULL MOUTH REHABILITATION- NEWER CONCEPT” sir briefed about the various clinical problems encountered during the full mouth rehabilitation, Loading protocols according to ICOI consensus 2006, and conometric concept related to implants.
Next in line was a session by Dr. Aditya Patney titled “CBCT IMAGING IN IMPLANT DENTISTRY- ANATOMY DIAGNOSIS & TREATMENT”, his presentation detailed about the traditional and modern imaging techniques and also 3D imaging in all phases of Implant Dentistry.
Last but not the least, Dr. Ramit Lamba conclused the scientific session with his presentation on “INSIGHTS OF DIGITAL DENTISTRY”, his topic explained regarding the digital workflow in implant dentistry including 3D printing technology, provisional shells, prosthetic workflow in removable fixed & implant dentsirty.
Total of 215 participants benefited with expert knowledge and guidance in clinical situations.
The sessions witnessed the presence of students and estemend faculty and private practitioners from delhi NCR, special thanks to IDA Noida, SGT college & Hospital, Sudharastogi dental college, seema dental college rishikesh, CDER AIIMS Delhi.
The course was appreciated by all the participants, and enjoyed the sessions and the clinical demo’s with a dialogue interaction.
A hand on session was also conducted for the interested participants, where 2 implant placements were taught with basic instrument guidance to young practitioners.
Dr. Pankaj DHawan, Centre Head MRCDE, concluded the symposium with his vote of thanks and appreciated the efforts and the level of education being imparted to our young graduate and post graduate students through this summit. He also recognized each and every key note speaker and concluded the take home message in their presentations. All applauds for the team MRCDE for tirelessly working towards the success of the Implant Symposium.
Dr. Pankaj Dhawan also congratulated the participants and also appreciated the efforts of Dr. Ashish kakar, for imparting knowledge and taking the Center to new heights and expertise.
