MBA Orientation- Day 15 for Batch 2020-22
Faculty of Management Studies, MRIIRS organized an Orientation Programme for MBA Freshers wherein various workshops, webinars, live talks are being conducted.
First session was conducted on the Basics of Statistics and the focus was to introduce students with the creation of a frequency distribution table with the help of an illustration. Second session was Part 1 of Psychometric Analysis which was delivered by Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, MRIIRS. He helped students in understanding the importance of psychometric analysis. He emphasized the point that not only the product the packaging is there that also matters, so with a peer learning approach, they should also work on all spheres of life and develop themselves for the competition.
Third session was the Program Introduction which was conducted by Dr. Deepti Dabas Hazarika, Director-FMS. She briefed about the members of Team Academics and Program Chairpersons and Co-Chairpersons for the program. As head of the department, she set the tone by initiating her session with the relationship and importance of roots and the tree. She shared that the department has with an alumni base of more than 1200 students passing the program. She bestowed on them the responsibility to get marks with participation in all the academic and non-academic activities and succeed in life.
Later she briefed about the mission and vision statement, PEO, PO, and CO of the MBA program. It was followed by the curriculum features, programs offered by the department, and expectations from each of the students as the brand ambassador of the program.
Dr. Bhavesh P. Joshi, member team academics discussed the grading system and explained the Semester Grade Point Average (SGPA), Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) and grade points to the students.
This was followed by a brief discussion by Prof. Shilpa Arora about the ERP system and the benefits which the students can avail.
