International Go-Kart Championship

International Go-Kart Championship is a global student challenge with a mission of encrypting students with technical as well as practical knowledge of manufacturing a go-kart. This Challenge is a global platform to show best of the talent to create what participants thought and designed on international level. International Go-kart Championship originated with a purpose to bring students out of their classes and implement what they learned.

Two teams (Cool Running and Team Kalacar) of Mechanical and Automobile Engineering Departments, Faculty of Engineering & Technology, Manav Rachna International University Faridabad have participated in International Go-Cart Championship competition organised by Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara, Punjab during 18.03.2016 to 21.03.2016.

Team Kalacar won 1^st prize in the event named “The Most Famous Team on Social Media”.  Team got cash prize of Rs. 5000/- along-with Trophy. Out of total 200 teams, 68 teams were selected in virtual round who took part in this event.. The competition was to judge which team gained the highest publicity. We were required to submit the logo of the team on their facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/IGCLPU/?ref=br_rs). The results were judged on the basis of how many likes, comments and shares were on the logo which was posted on their wall. The criteria of points to be earned were as follows:

Dr. M. K Soni, ED & Dean, Dr. R V Singh, Head- Mechanical, Dr. Devender Vasisht, Head- Automobile FET, Mr. Sunil Kumar and Mr. Abhishek Kumar- faculty advisors, encouraged the students for their achievement and motivated to do such activity in better and more refined way.
