ASSOCHAM School Education Summit 2019
200+ Principals, Directors, Head of Institutions, Promoters, Government Officials and other Professionals dealing with school education from different parts of the country deliberated upon the current issues related to school education at the School Education Summit 2019 organized by Assocham in New Delhi today.
“A paradigm shift is required to ensure that learning is made fun and interactive at the school level. Integration of vocational skills is imperative for school students to learn the life skills and soft skills that will help them in the long run”, said Dr. Prashant Bhalla, President MREI & Chairman of ASSOCHAM National Council on Education during his welcome address at the Summit. “The New Education Policy provides a strategic view for the sector. However, the implementation plan will be crucial for laying an effective roadmap for Nation Building”, he added.
Prof. Vinayshil Gautam, Founder Director- IIM (K), Kozikhode; Dr. G. D. Sharma, Secretary (Retd.), UGC; Dr. Biswajit Saha, Director (Training & Skill Education), CBSE; Mr. Manish Jindal, CEO, NABET, Quality Council of India, and Sh. Anurag Tripathi, Secretary, CBSE were also present during the inaugural session.
This was followed by technical sessions on: State, Industry and Society Partnership for Development of School Education; Use of Education Technologies for Better Learning Outcomes; Development of Students through Career Counselling and Soft Skills.
