MoU with ICICIdirect Centre for Financial Learning (ICFL) with a view to enhancing career opportunities for BBA Banking Students

ICFL to set up an Investment Lab for students to gain hands-on training and practical exposure by enabling them to engage in virtual trading

The world of banking is as dynamic as it is complex. The field is also very promising, toplined by a range of professionals in various divisions, such as investment, commercial and private banking. It requires a diversity of skills and talents, from those who have an aptitude for quantitative measures to those who have superb customer service skills. Manav Rachna International University (MRIU) believes in preparing its students to be job-ready, taking on the initiative of entering into collaborative ventures with industry giants to finetune and enhance students’ skill sets to prepare themselves in the fiercely competitive job market. It is with this aim in view that MRIU signed an MoU with ICICIdirect Centre for Financial Learning (ICFL) to benefit its BBA Banking students looking to enhance their career prospects in the banking and financial services sector.

IMG_7308Dr N.C. Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, MRIU, signed the MoU on behalf of Manav Rachna International University in the presence of Dr Naresh Grover, Dean Academics, MRIU and Dr R.K. Arora, Registrar, MRIU. Mr Neeraj Joshi, VP & Head – ICICIdirect Centre for Financial Learning (ICFL), represented ICICIdirect Centre for Financial Learning (ICFL). It noteworthy that Mr Neeraj Joshi who has over 13 years of experience in equities, commodities, mutual funds, corporate fixed deposits and other financial products, has been instrumental in conceptualizing and initiating the ICICIdirect Centre for Financial Learning also called ICFL. ICFL today is a leading industry player offering investment education and professional certifications exclusively in the domain of finance to create more certified professionals in the finance industry.

What is most encouraging is the fact that ICFL will set up an Investment Lab at the campus to provide students with hands on training and practical exposure. The students can also engage in virtual trading and make risk-free investments.

Expressing utmost pleasure over this new initiative, Dr N.C. The tie-up will help bridge the industry-academia gap and ensure innovative components in a curriculum that is greatly contemporary.”
