A women’s safety shield with the current appliance proposed by Sunita Joshi, Professor, Faculty of Computer Applications with, Mitali, Aman, and Yuvraj, students of the Faculty of Computer Applications. As it’s not been hidden from
anyone, India is well known for its criminal cases, especially crimes against women. India ranked among the lowest four countries in the world in terms of rape or women’s crimes. The NCRB report also shows that the rate of crime against
women (the number of incidents per 1 lakh population) increased from 56.5% in 2020 to 64.5% in 2021. Rather than strengthening the law and constitution, the priority should be to focus on that how taunting criminal practices would be
reduced. The primary objective of this model is: 1. To develop a wearable device that allows current flow when there is an unwanted situation for a woman. 2. To provide an invisible shield to women. 3. To notify the nearby police
stations and family members by automatically generating alert notifications. 4. To develop a model which has dual actions: • Safety guard system: Current passing system with alert notifications. • Convenient to use: It is suitable as it
is a wearable device. Targeting Multiple Issues This model has multi-functionality actions. With this, it can be used for multiple crimes issues such as: • Molestation • Child trafficking • Kidnapping cases • Ornamental Stealing/
Larceny We want to ensure that this model will prove its multitasking functionality during any emergency. This will help women and many more citizens to live their life freely. This era of technology has already proved to be a boon for
society’s welfare, so why not contribute to safeguarding Women’s dignity? This time rather than making a new law against criminals and waiting for justice, let’s stop this Rape culture.
