Career Counselling Session for Students of HM

Department of Hotel Management organized a Career Counselling Session for students of HM on 1^st September 2022. The resource person of the same was Mr. Varun Balwani, Regional Sales Director-FCS.  Mr. Balwani comes from a hospitality background and currently works as the Regional Sales Director for FCS Computer System. He specializes in Profit and Quality optimization. He apprised the students about various Career Prospects of Hospitality Industry. He discussed that there are different range of management roles in hospitality and thus, there are lots of opportunities within the field. These sectors include food and beverages, lodging, recreation, travel and tourism, and meetings and events and many more. He also discussed about the importance of experiential learning under this field. The importance of internships was also discussed in detail.

 The session was highly interactive and motivating for the students. The students’ curiosity was such that they came up with interesting questions. A total of 25 students attended the session.
