The Career Guidance session on Networking & Building a Professional Portfolio, hosted by the Corporate Resource Center at MRIIRS on 17^th November 2022, provided students from various academic backgrounds, including B Tech across all branches, BBA, and BCom, with invaluable insights into the art of career development. The Eminent speaker for the session was Mr.Vikas Bhadoria from SoulSurfer.

This session emphasized the significance of networking in today’s competitive job market and equipped students with practical strategies for building and leveraging professional connections. Additionally, it guided students on crafting a strong and compelling professional portfolio, including resumes, cover letters, and online profiles, to make a lasting impression on potential employers. By encouraging students to proactively engage in networking activities and showcasing their skills and achievements effectively, this session empowered them to take charge of their career paths and excel in their respective fields. The spokesperson provided tips for attending industry events, joining associations and using LinkedIn effectively. Discussing the importance of strong professional portfolio, students were advised to include projects and case studies wherever feasible.

A total of 34 students attended the session. The guidance was provided how networking skills can be of benevolence to students in job search and career shift and also in seeking professional’s help.
