What are the future prospects after completing BCA and MCA?

What is the duration of BCA and MCA program?
Both BCA and MCA are of 3 years duration. 6th semester in MCA is dedicated towards industrial training. The duration is of 2 years for MCA through Lateral Entry.
What is the USP in doing Computer Application programme from FCA under MRIU?
Syllabus is designed as per the current industry trends so as to make students competent enough to join the best of industries as per their domain knowledge. We also emphasize on holistic development, ethical orientation and sense of responsibility.
What is the quality of the Faculty in MRIU and what is so innovative in their teaching methodologies?
The core faculty comprises of distinguished academicians from the best institutions and leading professionals from the corporate world with rich industry experience. The faculty lays great emphasis on continuous evaluation by means of well designed tutorials and practical sessions; every effort is made to reinforce the concepts taught in the classroom. Apart from teaching, the faculty members have been vigorously pursuing research and have been regularly publishing research papers in various national and international journals of repute as well as in prestigious conferences.
What kind of grooming programs are offered to the students?
We organize Personality Development classes helping students to develop Soft Skills, Career Exploration, Resume Writing, Interviewing Skills, and Presentation Skills. Moreover there is a separate subject of Business Communication where students learn communication skills and emphasis is given on confidence building and active participation in group discussions.
What measures are taken to help the students in finding employment?
We have a well organized placement cell called Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) which is doing commendable job year after year. We conduct special coaching for improving the employability skills of the students.
Normally what percentage of the students passing out of MRIU secures employment / placement?
Most of our students prefer to go for higher studies and competitive exams after their graduation. More than 70% of the eligible students are placed through campus placement drive.
Do you teach something other than the prescribed syllabus?
We do conduct Personality Development Programs including sessions to improve technical, aptitude and verbal reasoning skills of students. Mock interviews are a regular feature of our placement workshops.
Are students from non mathematical background eligible to join BCA/ MCA program?
Mathematics is not compulsory for BCA but a student must have mathematics at 10+2 or in graduation to be eligible to join MCA.

Auckland Institute of Studies (AIS) Auckland, New Zealand is a unique tertiary institution providing UG and PG level programmes. It also the largest MBA programme in New Zealand. AIS has partnered with MRIU to support the delivery of NZQA-accredited programmes in International Business and Information Technology within the BBA (Global)- IB and B.Sc.- IT degrees.
Do the faculty members of the respective foreign college will come and interact with students?
Yes, the faculties from foreign colleges do come time to time and interact with students.
Are there any exchange programmes through which I can go and study in the concerned College for a semester?
Yes, students may join the programs of particular programs as per the terms and conditions of our partner foreign institutes.
What is the campus placement history of FCA programmes?

Yes, there are several industrial visits organized to various organizations as per their relevance to the programs.
Does B.Sc. IT hold any workshops/ seminars?
Yes, workshops/ seminars and exhibitions are conducted, where the students get an interactive session with the industry experts. In short all such activities are an integral part of this program.
Are students after completing BSc. Information Technology from FCA of MRIUeligible for getting admission in MCA Programme?
Yes, the students of B.Sc. Information Technology are eligible for joining any masters programme. Students with B.Sc. IT degree will get direct admission to MCA 2nd year (i.e. MCA lateral entry). In fact, the exposure to IT subjects during the B.Sc. IT programme would prove a great help to students while attending their MCA programme.
What is the future scope of study after B.Sc. IT program?
A student can go for M.Sc. IT, MCA and MBA in any stream after completing the B.Sc. IT programme.
