Fresher’s Party organized by Faculty of Engineering Technology

Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Manav Rachna International University organized freshers’15. The students showcased their talent in the field of dance, music, mimicry, etc.

The event started at 11.00 AM at central lawn with lamp lighting and Ganesh Vandana. Dr. N C Wadhwa, Vice Chancellor, MRIU, Dr. M.K. Soni, Executive Director and Dean, FET, Dr. Pradeep K. Varshney, Associate Director-FET, Prof. I K Kilam, Director DSW and Radio Manav Rachna 107.8FM; among other heads and faculty members graced the occasion. The event was hosted by Ms. Sonal Prasad and Mr. Athang Ajay Potwar.

Dr. N.C. Wadhwa while welcoming the fresher students, encouraged them to follow the vision of our Prime Minister in developing skills and make best use of the environment and facilities available in MRIU campus. Dr. M.K. Soni emphasized that the students must have domain knowledge though the soft skills and participation in extra and co-curricular activities are also equally important.

To welcome the fresher’s and make them feel a part of Manav Rachna family, the senior students Nakshatra, Mansi, Jyoti, Nimishi had given the singing and dancing performance and musical performance was given by Sufi band Aagaz. Former Miss & Mr. Fresher’s Kriti, Pooja & Pranjal, Adhiraj had also given their performances. The Freshers showed  excellent performances  on the stage. In journey of selection of Ms & Mr. Fresher, 2015, various competitions like Ramp walk, performances and questionnaires were hold. It was very difficult for Judges to decide the winners as the amazing performances were given by freshers. Finally,  Ms. Kritika Kaveri of CSE-CC and Mr. Anirudh Sharma of Mechanical Engineering were the winners of Ms. & Mr. Fresher 2015 and Ms. Noorie Singh and Prayush were the runner ups.. Best entertainer award was given to Yagya and cash prize of Rs. 5000/-(announced by Dr. M.K.Soni) were given to Yashu and Ankita for their extraordinary dance performances.

Dr. M. K Soni along with senior dignitaries distributed prizes to the winners ,runner ups and Mr. and Ms  Freshers 2015. Dr. Pradeep K. Varshney gave Vote of Thanks and congratulated the winners and appreciated all those who participated/volunteered in the event in order to encourage them to further indulge in more co- curricular activities.
