Industry Interaction during Inauguration of Centre of Excellence -Semiconductor & Devices Lab by Mitsubishi Electric India

Manav Rachna believes in having a strong industry-academia partnership with an emphasis on creative ideas and R&D funding to boost research. Collaboration between industry and academics is key to catalyze innovation and growth in technology. While industry frequently focuses on solutions with immediate Economic value, Academia focuses on developing new knowledge through research and imparting education to students that results in the accelerated development of new breakthroughs.

To strengthen it further, the Department of EEE, FET MRIIRS has signed a MoU with Mitsubishi Electric India in the vertical of semiconductors in addition to the existing one in Automation. Mitsubishi Electric India has also established the Centre of Excellence “SEMICONDUCTOR & DEVICES LAB” in MRIIRS.

The lab is equipped with Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor (IGBT) Modules, Intelligent Power Modules, High -Voltage Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor Modules. Regular workshops and Expert talks will be conducted in the lab for providing zest of the cutting-edge technology. The centre will boost the skills of the students and create ample opportunities for undergraduates, postgraduates, and research scholars.

Mr. Hitesh Bharadwaj Head – Semiconductor Devices, Mr. Pradeep Bisht AGM-Semiconductor Devices from Mitsubishi Electric India, Dr. Naresh Grover -PVC & Dean Academics-MRIIRS and Dr. Pardeep Kumar-PVC & Dean FET inaugurated the centre formally on 13 June 2022 followed by an industry institute interaction session.
