Workshop on Vlogging in collaboration with Canon India

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Faculty of Media Studies and Humanities organized a Photography workshop in collaboration with Canon India during the Media Rush 3.0 on 03 January 2023.

The workshop was led by Mr.Chitransh Saxena, Deputy Manager Marketing and Technical Specialist, Canon India. He holds experience of 15+ years and has led 800+ workshops. It was an interactive session as Mr. Chitransh taught the students about the cameras and compositions required to become a good photographer. He also briefed about the manual settings of the camera. Chitransh interacted with the students and showcased them his various photographs. He explained to the students about various types of lighting, shutter speed, exposure triangle, aperture and ISO. He also presented some examples so as to how to play with shutter speed to create different techniques of photos like light painting. 

He also mentioned that the Artificial Intelligence in cameras can detect vehicles, humans, and animals. He also took the students out for hands-on experience of cameras and photography, so that they could understand different modes and functions such as long shot, drive mode, time value, shutter priority, etc.

In the workshop, the students were told about the things they should keep in mind while doing photography. Students were curious and asked a variety of questions from the guest and he answered them very well. Students were also curious and asked a variety of questions from the technical aspect of camera and photography and also asked questions about gaining confidence in their skills. It was an insightful session for everyone.
