Careers in Social Media Marketing

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, FMEH, organized an expert talk on Careers in Social Media Marketing on March 23, 2023.’ It was attended by the 23 students of BA-JMC 2nd and 4^th semesters. The interaction was aimed at providing details about using the digital media sector as a career route. Mr. Manan Arora, who is a YouTuber and a social media influencer. He has more than eighty thousand subscribers.

The students were excited to interact with him. They received guidance from Manan on how to create content for social media and also discussed ways to earn advertising revenues through digital platforms.  He further discussed the career opportunities in the digital media industry today. The session was inspiring and informative for the students.

The lecture was followed by a question-and-answer session where students discussed their queries regarding opportunities in the media industry and balancing academic life with co-curricular activities. Overall, it was an enriching experience for the students.

The activity was coordinated by Ms. Ankita Bharti under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Maithili Ganjoo (Dean, FMeH) and Dr. Kiran Bala (HOD, Dept. of J&MC).
