Guest Lecture  on Anchoring as a Career

The Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, SMeH hosted an enlightening and interactive lecture on ‘Anchoring as a Career’ on 3rd October, 2022. The event took place at the Media Centre, and it featured the esteemed presence of Dr. Alpana Suhasini, a renowned anchor on DD1, announcer at AIR, accomplished actress, and accomplished poetess.

Dr. Alpana Suhasini shared her life journey, revealing how she passionately transformed her interests into a thriving profession within the field of media and communication.

During her engaging presentation, Dr. Alpana emphasized several key insights that captured the attention and imagination of the eager students. She underscored the paramount importance of extensive reading as a foundational step for success in the field of journalism. Her message resonated with the aspiring journalists, reinforcing the idea that knowledge acquisition is an indispensable part of the journalistic journey.

One noteworthy highlight of the lecture was Dr. Alpana’s transition into a poetic mode of expression. Her poetic narration mesmerized the students and served as a powerful source of inspiration.
