“Career Opportunities for Commerce Graduates as Company Secretary in the Industry”

The Department of Commerce organized a session on Career Opportunities for Commerce Graduates as Company Secretary in the Industry on 13^th September to enrich and enlighten students about CS as a career opportunity for Commerce graduates. CS Arun Goel (Fellow member of ICSI, Faridabad) was the resource person for the session. A total of 45 students attended the session. The speaker started the session with the background of financial and legal system of India. He introduced the term Company Secretary (CS) to the students and its importance to the field of law. He also enlightened with the scope and practice opportunities available. He also informed the versatile bucket of specializations in CS and also how to clear CS examinations. He also told some of the implications of the law by giving practical examples. He also discussed about the complete journey of becoming CS and the stages with subjects to be studied.
