Pass with 50% or more marks in aggregate in the Bachelor’s degree and/or in Master’s degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Bachelor’s in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or any other qualification equivalent thereto

- B.Ed. Special Education Programme offered by the Department is approved by the Rehabilitation Council of India and Government of Haryana
- With increasing emphasis on various Governmental initiatives for the empowerment of people with Learning Disability, the education of children with LDs is gaining its due importance. The programme intends to prepare humane and professional special educators who can contribute towards the creation of a progressive society through inclusive educational opportunities.
- The theoretical orientation of different types of learning disabilities, their screening, identification, assessment, interventions, and other significant aspects through a well–designed curricula will be imparted by the special educators along with experts working in the area.
- Close collaboration with the Special Education Needs Department (SEN) at the allied chain of MRIS and other agencies working in the area as the support systems aims to provide applied and field-based engagement/internship to the trainees.
- The significant focus of the programme is to sensitize the trainees from within by nurturing the humane aspect of their personality through the emerging practices involving personal reflection along with the use of creative expressions like art, drama, and theatre.
- Competency building among trainees is also ensured by imparting practical skills of using technology effectively, making IEPs independently, providing counselling along with nurturing life skills, and functional training among children with special needs.
